The challenge at Penny Black this week is "frame it" , and today I managed to finish this friendship card. I've placed these two sooo lovely mice fellows in a big MME frame. The sentiment is made by letter stickers (making memories) and says "you warm my heart"...Dette er et av mine stempelfavoritter, syns de er sååå gode, disse to :)
This stamp is one of my favourites :) I've coloured the image with Distress Ink in several layers of 'antique linen', and then used 'walnut stain' for shadows at the one to the left. The pink details are painted with 'tattered rose'. The flower is painted with Speciality Pearls to get it white and shimmering. I've used the same painting at the mulberry flower from Papirloftet ...
... and for these ones as well :) You can hardly see it, but I've used a swirl stamp from Stempelglede's grunge collection around the edges at the pink BasicGrey paper.
The inside of the card, with a beautiful poem about friendship.
The back of the card. The lace continues from the front, so this is an easy way to do it :)
Tonight it's Whimsy Wednesday at PCP!! Denise has planned a lot of fun, Debbie and Erin have also written about the details - check it out - and join in!!!

Inger sine løse tråder samlet i 3 utfordringer :)

I've decorated a little album for Inger, my sister-in-law, using Laura's sketch at 2Sketches4You. Inger likes sewing, but she seldom has time to comfort herself with quilting at the time. Therefore I made a book where she can gather up some of her loose threads; pictures, poems, drawings, cuttings... that kind of stuff :) I got the idea as I found this Penny Black stamp, and this book is definately for a girl, so I think I'll join in for the PB challenge this week as well. And finally - ta'daaa - there's a new challenge I was SO happy to find as I visited my friend Dawn; Basic Grey Challenge! I use BG papers a lot, and at this one the 'Stella Ruby' paper was just perfect. This first week the challenge is to use buttons! How suitable :)
It's a gorgeous stamp! At the one side there's a little mouse throwing buttons down, just like small kids love to do in a period of their childhood :)

At the other side three mice are helping each other with threading the sewing machine :) I've sewed the seam at the pink "stuff" with my sewing machine. Close-up from the pile of buttons, with a new kind of heart from Kort&Godt :)
And look at this brad! A sewing machine!
The plate was originally veeery white, so I painted it with acrylic paint, then sponged it with Distress Ink 'worn lipstick' and finally embossed it with white and silver powder. Have a nice day, everyone! Take care :)

Congratulation card

I've made this card for a couple who soon will be celebrating an anniversary of their wedding day. I hope this stamp from Penny Black will help the husbond to remember the day - and to buy some flowers :) The challenge at Penny Black this week is to use ribbons, and I found it nice to combinate with this week's sketch at Raspberry Ribbons. Pattern paper from MME '29th Street Market'. The broad ribbon is made for gift wrapping, bought at IKEA ;) The sentiment is hand written.

Close-up from the image, painted with Distress Ink and a little H2O. I've added Glossy Accents at the hearts, alomost impossible to see at this picture, but it's there!
I love these Prima 'Painterly Petals' flowers, and here I've used my new brad frames from Kort & Godt in the middle. Really smart; you just place the brad as usual, and then click a half pearl into the frame :)
Have a nice day, everyone! Take care!

I've made this birthday card for my mom, and this will be my contribution for this week's Penny Black Challenge :)

All the pattern paper is MME 'wild aspargus' (front and back of it). The image is painted with Distress Ink and LePlume. I've cut out the hedgehogs and mounted them on the back of a pattern paper. I found these paper roses at a hobby store (Lines Hobby i Tønsberg) . They are mounted together with a ribbon and a brown thread, and then thread through a horizontal slut punched hole together with a checked ribbon.
At the inside of the card I've written a recipe for rose jelly, and mounted it at a piece of pattern paper. These leaves came from Camilla, and was so perfect - looks precisely like rose leaves :)
Usually as I cut the Bazzill for a card sized 15x15 cm, there's 0,5 cm left over. At this card I made a double fold in the back instead, and placed a pink ribbon there. Then I got a bit more space at the inside, so I could put a rose here as well. You can hardly see it, but there's a needle thread through the pink ribbon, to make the rose and the leaves and the linen thread and the pink ribbon stick together. The key came from Caroline :) Here you can see how the pink ribbon continues at the back of the card. I've finished it by using the same sketch in miniature.

Me and my kids (well... youths) will be driving up north later today, to visit my mom. We'll stay there for a couple of weeks, but I won't disappear from the blog, just slow down the card production a bit :) And during this week I'll make a blog candy, so keep the visiting up ;) and have a nice day!

This birthday card is made for joining three challenges...
I've used the sketch at 2 sketches 4 you, and this one was really great, I think!
I've also used my brand new Penny Black stamp, so I could join the PennyBlackChallenge as well :) They want us to use brads and buttons this week. All my buttons are at home. I'm not, and that's why I've used only brads. But look at those 7 gypsies brads!! They are so fabulous, they seem like buttons, don't you think? ;)
Stamp Something says "dazzle us with something" this week. Dazzling isn't what I do mostly, but as I really want to be a guest designer there, I dazzled this card ;) I found a sheet from Prima with self-adhesive crystal swirls, and I've used one of them here. The "stones" in two of the flowers are also from this sheet.
The image is painted with LePlume tusche, and as I seldom use them for painting, I'm not very pleased with the result, but at least the little teddy is brown *haha* I've used my fingertip around the image, to add some fluid chalk.
Close-up from the flowers, with these gorgeous brads :)
I've written the tag myself, it's a Norwegian-English mix, but it says "happy birthday" :)
There's no Bazzill at all at this card :) It's only made of pattern paper from MME 'wild aspargus'.
