Today it's 20 years since I became a mother. My daughter gives me so much joy and happiness, so I wanted to create something special for her at her 20th birthday. It turned out to be a "book card". There's a lot of pictures, so I will try not to write that much ;)
At the front of the book I've used a picture from when she was newborn. Isn't she lovely? ;)
All the edges at the front are embossed with silver, and also the letters.
Time for opening the book. I've made a kind of collage using this Tim Holtz filmstrip frame dies. At the first page I've used pictures from when she was 2, 4 and 6 years old...
...and at the next side from when she was 8, 10 and 12. This is why I've put pebbles at these numbers on the paper tape (making memories).
Time for a teeanger at the third side; 14, 16 and 18...
...and finally; 20! I've tried to make this side with a connection to the front. And isn't she still lovely? ;)
The greeting card was placed in a pocket inside the card. This is very easy to make. I've mad this little "model" to show you how I've folded the inside. I've just folded and cut a 12"x12" Bazzill as shown...
...and then folded it like this. I've just put a paper clip to show you how it works, of cours you'll have to glue the sides to make it a pocket :)
Then you can make a greeting card to put inside...
...and write a greeting on the back as well :)
I've used a ribbon between the cover and the inside of the book to keep it together.
