A Spoon Full of Bursdagskort :)

Another weekend is over, and I've used mine to tidy and throw away stuff (I'm surprised how many useless things we have stored in this house *haha*) I've also made this card in between, it's for a very nice stamping friend who was celebrating her birthday some weeks ago *hawk* Well - I've used Camilla's gorgeous sketch at A Spoon Full of Sugar to put it together.
Flickan i Havanna ;) malt med noen underlige blekkblandinger.

I really love the Gorjuss girls, and this is one of my favourites :) I've mixed 'peeled paint', 'shabby shutters' and 'pine needles' for the dress, and the stockings I've added 'aged mahogany'. The BG chipboard frame is painted with Crackle Pint 'tattered rose', and the genuine brad is from Stampin Up!
Some details...
... and some more...
The inside is decorated like this.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend, many thanks for visiting my blog :)

A Spoon Full of ABC for a confirmation :)

This is a confirmation card for a boy, made as an order. I've used Caryn's sketch at ASOS to put it together. And how convenient is the ABC challenge for this card; K for Keep it simple! I've used Graphic 45 DP and 7 Gypsies Gaffer Tape to create the background. The image is "Wherever You Go" from Paperbag Studios.

These Artistry Flowers from prima are awesome! I found this one so suitable for a boy...
The inside... The woman who ordered this card wanted to make a gift card herself, so I've just made it ready for her. At the pocket I've used a beautiful oval stamp from Inkido. Stamps from a Graphic 45 DP.
The back was simply made by letting the Gaffer Tape continue :)
Have a lovely evening, everybody! I'll go finishing card order No2 :)

I've made this card for a friend of mine, who asked me to make a card for one of her friends, who will be celebrating her 50th anniversary :) I've mirror rotated Carole's sketch at Friday Sketchers, and will also join in for the challenge at A spoonful of sugar. All they ask for, is a little gem :)
I had to dress up the hÄnglar girl after destroying the dress with some innovative painting *haha* but the dress has a party look, as there's some glitter at the DP...
Close-up 1...
... and 2. This thick vellum was wrapped around some wool socks I bought, and because the 50 year old likes knitting, I used it here. That's also why I've used some thread for decorating here...
The inside of the card...
... and the back, with another part of the paper from those socks. And my new "handmade by" stamp from Kort&Godt.
Ha en fin kveld! Ta godt vare på hverandre...
Have a lovely evening, thanks for stopping by :)

Mokkabønner og andre bønder - and three challenges :)

I've made a new box for this mocca chocolate, to use as a gift for a good friend of mine. I've used Nikki's sketch at A Spoonfull of Sugar for the top, and used a pattern paper with spots to be able to join in for the challenge at PWC as well. The challenge at Arty Girlz this week is to make anything but a card, so then I can participate on that one as well :)
The hÄnglar girl is painted with Distress Ink 'faded jeans' and 'pine needles', and then I've dressed her up with Basic Grey DP. This is how the box looks like when you open it...
... and underneath the lid there's a recipe for preserved fruit with chili - yummy yummy :)
On the top of the chocolate I've made this tag card to write a little greeting on.
It's snowing and snowing and snowing here, and at the moment it's raining as well, so I'll just remove the word "wonder" from our winter wonderland :p and go out and get some snow away from the yard... Have a lovely day, everyone, with or without snow :)

A spoon full of Christmas with Friday Sketchers

Aldri har jeg laget julekort i september. Aldri.
I have never made a Christmas card in September, but the new Christmas papers from 3ndy Papir was so inspiring, I just had to use them immediately. This card is made rather quick and simple. I've used Heidi's sketch at Friday Sketchers, and A Spoon Full Of Sugar is telling us that Christmas is coming (thanks for reminding me, I usually get very stressed in December)...
The image from Ladybug and friends is painted with Distress Ink 'broken china' and 'fired brick'.
The snowflakes are cut with my Silhouette. A great tip for any owner of this machine is to download this dingbat font at dafont.com. This is the letter "v", in the background the letter "c".
I wish you all a good night. I still hope for some time to do some pleasant blog visiting, please be patient with me :)

A spoon full of PWC and sugar from Friday Sketchers

Today I've finished a card that took me ages to make, and you can't tell when you look at it... Just moving flowers and ribbons and bling around for quite a long time *haha*

Anyway; I've combinated three challenges here. I've used Claudia Rosa's design at Friday Sketchers to make a card for a girl (A Spoon Full of Sugar) who becomes a teenager (Papertake Weekly Challenge).

At the front I've used my brand new stamp from Sugar Nellie, designed by Elisabeth Bell. This stamp was a part of Camilla's blog candy :) I did a mistake as I was stamping it, so I had to cut away the upper part of it and make a new background, with Distress Ink 'faded jeans' at watercolour paper... The image is painted with the same ink (as always) and the pattern paper is MME 'wild aspargus'. The swirl is cut with the Silhouette.
I really find these Prima flowers fabulous!!! In the middle I've put a button, and then a silver decor with a blue rhinestone in the middle.
So... that's my card for today :) And then to some big news - three of them as well :)

First a private one; Inga, my daughter, is going to USA as an exchange student next year, and she's been waiting and waiting and waiting to get her host family... Today the phone came, and she'll start the next school year at Battle Ground High School in Washington at September 2th.!!!!!!! This is really exciting news, and I have to admit I'm both happy and a bit scary... Suddenly everything gets so close, there's a certain family there! Inga has written about this happening in her own blog (at my blogroll) but this is written in Norwegian...
Then some great news for all the Norwegian card crafters: At Sunday we'll have our very first challenge blog!! Hurrayyyyyy :)
And the last thing I want to tell you is to check in to my blog tomorrow - then you'll find some blog candy here!!!

Rosor i ett sprucket krus...

... är ändå alltid rosor.
~ * ~
Dette kortet er laget til to utfordringer. Jeg har rotert skissa på Stamp Something og brukt temaet på A Spoon Full of Sugar, som er å bruke masse ruter, rett & slett.
I've made this card for two challenges. I've used the sketch at Stamp Something, and "Checks Galore" is the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar, so here is my card to join in for these great challenges :)
I've dressed up this hÄnglar girl with some checks pattern paper, and on the headscarf I've also coloured some of it with a LePlume pen, to bring some depth in it. I stamped the whole dress at the pattern paper and then cut another flower basket which I placed upon the dress.
As you open the "gate" you'll find a little Swedish poem at the inside, I've written it on a sheet from Prima's "super-fabulous journaling squares". It says something like this; "nonsense is nonsense and snuff is snuff, even in golden boxes, and roses are roses, even in a cracked mug." And that's the way it is :)Og selv om det er sent, vil jeg bare få takke alle som besøker meg og ikke minst alle som legger igjen en kommentar her, si sov godt til de som allerede gjør det og ønske god natt til de av dere som ikke har funnet senga ennå :)
It's late, but I still want to thank all of you who are visiting my blog, espacially those of you who leaves a comment, I'll say "sleep tight" to all of you who does, and wish a good night to those who haven't gone to bed yet :)

Gratulerer...

I've made this card for this week's challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar, where they want us to use 3 brads or buttons, 2 pattern papers and 1 flower. I found this way to fold a card in an amusing tutorial at YouTube, and this is my first try, so please be indulgent to me :)

This is the front. Funny, isn't it? Looks like an envelope, and works as it as well. The whole card is made out of one pattern paper, this is one from American Traditional Designs, a serial called 'Elegant Wedding'. This square is decorated with a flower and half pearls. The edges are brushed with 'Olive Pastel' and 'Creamy Brown' Fluid Chalk (I just couldn't decide which one to choose, so I used them both :))Nærbilde av blomsten, er den ikke fin?
Close-up of the flower, which is a part of a thread made for table decoration. Beautiful, isn't it? I exchanged some "plastic fantastic" from the middle with a half pearl.

As you open the card, you'll find another square, and on this one I've used a stamp that says "Happy Birthday". I stamped with Fluid Chalk 'Olive Pastel' and embossed a bit with white/silver powder. And this is how the card looks when it's all open. So here you'll find the second pattern paper, from the same serial, and this one is to write the greeting at. I've mounted it on Bazzill, and decorated with 3 rondells with a tiny half pearl in the middle...
... and I will hereby declare these as my home made buttons *haha*
Fun Fold Card; I think the name was SO suitable. Try it out!

A Spoon Full of Sugar. Og da ble det sånn som dette:
I've used two challenges for making this wedding card. I used the sketch at CPS and the colours at A Spoon Full of Sugar, and this is how the card turned out:
Close-up with some details. First I rubbed Distress Ink 'worn lipstick' and 'faded jeans' with a sponge at water colour paper, then I stamped the heart (Paper Inspirations) with embossing ink and finally I embossed with silver. The tag is hand written and randomly embossed. The heart and the key is more like silver than the image shows.I'm hopeless with the details *haha* and here's another one... These silver flowers from Kort & Godt just had to get a tiny half pearl of silver in the middle :)
At the inside I wrote a little beautiful poem, and then used the sketch for mounting it. The swirl is cut with the Silhouette, I put it there to bring a little masculine touch into the card :) To make it all complete, I used the sketch and the same papers as on the front of the card.
That's it.
Hm. Jaja.
