Glem frimerkesamlinga...

I made this card for a competition in the Norwegian card crafting magazine "Ett Trykk". It didn't win, so therefore I can post it in my blog :) The task was to be inspired by the shape of stamps, and I made a card to use for dating! I have no use for it myself, but it was so fun to make it :) In Norway we have a phrase / joke; "do you want to come with me to my house and look at my stamp collection?" - and everybody knows that you actually have other purposes ;)

The card is made using a tutorial from Claudia (I'll link afterwards, when I've found it). I made a collage by old stamps in the middle, and placed a lace and a velvet ribbon on top.
Her ser dere litt av dybden i kortet - at this picture you can see the debth in the card.Close-up from the tag (punch) with hand written message; "forget about the stamp collection!"

The message continues at the inside; "you'd rather come to look at my card tricks!" *hihi* At the left side I've placed the queens from some adorable playing cards, which can be spread like a fan, so you can see the art at them. The pattern paper is from Karen Foster.

At the right side I've used a picture I downloaded from Lunagirl. I made a "stamp frame" with a pattern scissor and placed in an old lace.

At the back I've used two of the stamps from Stempelglede's "grunge collection". The lace is wrapped around the entire card.

Have a nice day, everyone, with or without dating :) Enjoy the summer!

A spoon full of wedding

Stikker innom fra hytta - søkte ensomheten her i går kveld for å få laget dette kortet :) Naboene våre gifter seg neste helg, og jeg brukte Katharinas flotte skisse på A spoon full of sugar for å lage et kort til dem.

I've used Katharina's sketch this week at A spoon full of sugar to make a card for our neighbours, who's getting married next Friday. So here's my take of this great sketch. The pattern paper is MME 'Wild aspargus' and Prima 'floral embellishment' flowers. The HS image I got from my friend Maja :) and Camilla (the Swedish one) gave me the napkin :)
The bride and the groom are painted with Distress Ink 'black soot' and 'broken china'. I've put Glossy Accents at some of the details at the bridegroom, unfortunately it doesn't show in this picture... Tiny tiny half pearls for the bride :)
I used the SU oval punch to write the wedding couple's initials, and put a heart at the side of it. Tied a silk ribbon together with some white crochet thread. The heart is from Kort og godt, and the idea with the heart, which is gorgeous, I got from Desiree :)
Have a nice day, everyone!

I get so happy when someone shows that they appreciate me and my cards. This is one of the best of blogging, I think, to get positive feedback. It is a pure vitamin injection, which leads me into a good circle:)

I've recieved this award from Rach, Lia, Dawn and Camilla! I'm so happy, this is such a nice award, because it's not only about the card crafting...

The rules of the award:

1. Only 5 people allowed.

2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog.

3. one has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.

4. you must link back to whoever gave you the award.

Quite simple really it is a way of saying thank you to those who take time out for wonderful comments to boost your day.

Just as easy as it is difficult to choose ... but this time I will take the first and best I have in mind.

And another "award" is to be at the Top 5 list of Triple Play Entries at Stamp Something !!! Check it out!
Fint *fniiis*
Nattinatt fra nord :)

Gode nyheter i sommernatta :)

I'm so happy to tell you that I've become a part of the Design Team for the new Norwegian challenge blog, that starts at August 1th :)) This is great, take a look and go visit all the others in the DT - you'll find some awesome blogs!

I'm still in the northern part of Norway, and here you can see why I'm not blogging that much these days :) This picture is taken at 2 o'clock in the night :)

On our way home from the sea, we had to stop and look at this amazing rainbow! I've never seen anything like this ever - and I've seen some rainbows... It was growing all over the sky, but I'll show you this part of it, as the colours are brighter here. And here's the time 3 - still at night :) Husk å se på blog candyen min nedenfor her da! Finn fram dikt og vers og vinn noe digg!

Remember to have a look at my blog candy as well, it's below here :)

A spoon full of PWC and sugar from Friday Sketchers

Today I've finished a card that took me ages to make, and you can't tell when you look at it... Just moving flowers and ribbons and bling around for quite a long time *haha*

Anyway; I've combinated three challenges here. I've used Claudia Rosa's design at Friday Sketchers to make a card for a girl (A Spoon Full of Sugar) who becomes a teenager (Papertake Weekly Challenge).

At the front I've used my brand new stamp from Sugar Nellie, designed by Elisabeth Bell. This stamp was a part of Camilla's blog candy :) I did a mistake as I was stamping it, so I had to cut away the upper part of it and make a new background, with Distress Ink 'faded jeans' at watercolour paper... The image is painted with the same ink (as always) and the pattern paper is MME 'wild aspargus'. The swirl is cut with the Silhouette.
I really find these Prima flowers fabulous!!! In the middle I've put a button, and then a silver decor with a blue rhinestone in the middle.
So... that's my card for today :) And then to some big news - three of them as well :)

First a private one; Inga, my daughter, is going to USA as an exchange student next year, and she's been waiting and waiting and waiting to get her host family... Today the phone came, and she'll start the next school year at Battle Ground High School in Washington at September 2th.!!!!!!! This is really exciting news, and I have to admit I'm both happy and a bit scary... Suddenly everything gets so close, there's a certain family there! Inga has written about this happening in her own blog (at my blogroll) but this is written in Norwegian...
Then some great news for all the Norwegian card crafters: At Sunday we'll have our very first challenge blog!! Hurrayyyyyy :)
And the last thing I want to tell you is to check in to my blog tomorrow - then you'll find some blog candy here!!!

I've made this birthday card for my mom, and this will be my contribution for this week's Penny Black Challenge :)

All the pattern paper is MME 'wild aspargus' (front and back of it). The image is painted with Distress Ink and LePlume. I've cut out the hedgehogs and mounted them on the back of a pattern paper. I found these paper roses at a hobby store (Lines Hobby i Tønsberg) . They are mounted together with a ribbon and a brown thread, and then thread through a horizontal slut punched hole together with a checked ribbon.
At the inside of the card I've written a recipe for rose jelly, and mounted it at a piece of pattern paper. These leaves came from Camilla, and was so perfect - looks precisely like rose leaves :)
Usually as I cut the Bazzill for a card sized 15x15 cm, there's 0,5 cm left over. At this card I made a double fold in the back instead, and placed a pink ribbon there. Then I got a bit more space at the inside, so I could put a rose here as well. You can hardly see it, but there's a needle thread through the pink ribbon, to make the rose and the leaves and the linen thread and the pink ribbon stick together. The key came from Caroline :) Here you can see how the pink ribbon continues at the back of the card. I've finished it by using the same sketch in miniature.

Me and my kids (well... youths) will be driving up north later today, to visit my mom. We'll stay there for a couple of weeks, but I won't disappear from the blog, just slow down the card production a bit :) And during this week I'll make a blog candy, so keep the visiting up ;) and have a nice day!

I've made this card to join in for the Friday Sketchers this week, as I found the sketch so great (no wonder, as it's Heidi who has created it...) Well, they also have a fantastic prize this week ;)
I've used pattern paper from Heidi Grace Designs and one of the napkins from Camilla's blog candy behind the image, which is my new stamp from Penny Black :) I've used my SU ticket corner punch for the background paper and the tag. I really love this image :) I painted the teddy with Distress Ink 'vintage photo' and 'tea dye', and the hammock is a mix of 'faded jeans' and 'broken china'. Looks like he's enjoying summer, this cute little one :) I tried to make a sky with my SU Scallop Circle punch.
Close-up to show you some details. The blue MM ribbons are tied together with some linen thread and a water can. To make it stay there, I've used a needle I got from Camilla :) I've used my horizontal slot punch through the entire card, so that the checked ribbon could be thread... ... to be a part of the inside :) I've also written a little poem that I really like, and placed it here. Detail from the back of the card, quite simple made.
Good night, sleep tight :) See you tomorrow!

God sommer!

This card is made to wish a friend of mine a nice summer. I've used the fabulous sketch at Arty Girlz for this one. I'll also join in for the "Triple Play" challenge at Stamp Something. This week they want to see what we can do with (at least) 3 layers, 3 colors and 3 embellishments. I've used pink, red and green as basic colours at this card, and added flowers, buttons, some bling flowers and a ribbon for embellishments.
The edges are sponged with Distress Ink and Fluid Chalk, and "sewed" with a LePlume pen. I've used my SU Horizontal Slot punch for threading the ribbon through the paper, and the 1-3/8"Circle punch for the tag. The edge at the tag is made with a SU stamp, then I've written the text myself. Those pink glass flowers are from Kort og Godt.
The "dot edges" at this layer are made with a Le Plume, using the Mat Pack I recieved from my friend Lim. The HS girl is painted with Distress Ink 'aged mahogany' and 'worn lipstick', 'black soot' for the hair. I've added Glossy Accents for the shoes and the hair ribbon, and a little red rhinestone for the cherry :)Det ble veldig mange innlegg her på veldig kort tid, men nå kommer det ikke fler før i morra, jeg lover!
I know I've posted a lot lately, but now I'll take a break until tomorrow, I promise! :) Have a nice Saturday evening, everyone :) Take care!

Maya feirer 10 000 besøk med blog candy!

My sweet and lovely friend Maya has made a fabulous blog candy to celebrate that she've had 10 000 visitors! The candy is a paperbag filled up with 140 (!!!) stamped images from hÄnglar & stÄnglar!
All you have to do is make a post in your blog with a link to Maya's blog candy, just to spread the word. She will draw a winner at Sunday 20th July. So don't hesitate with joining this one!

djiiiiiiiiiizez...

... det var mer!!! ...even more!!!
After yesterday's post here, there's probably three women who wonder if a) I am doing very selective selection of what I put in here or whether b) their mail hasn't arrived. Therefore, I'm in a hurry to tell you that none of the parts is the case. It was just so that Inga Daughter & Mailbox emptyer had put the mail in two piles, and in the other one I found this! Christmas Eve, go home, this was so much nicer!
This one was SO surprising!!!!!! It came from Kirsten Stjerneglimt, just to wish me a nice summer *woo hooooooo*
This summer card came from my sweet and kind friend Maya :) Lovely, isn't it?
Close-up from the flowers and the butterflies, just to try to show you how fabulous they are :)
As I opened the card, I found this lovely decorated inside, and *tadaaaa* more HS stamps from this bridal couple, in BigSize this time. What a kind hearted person you are, Maya, thank you SOOO much!!!! *sniff* 1000 takk, Maya, du er da virkelig noe for deg selv :)
Maya has also a blog candy going on, and I will highly recommend you to join in! It's fabulous! And so is both Maya and her blog, so spend some minutes as you visit her!
If you don't think you'll win, I can tell you I didn't either as I joined in for Jacqueline's blog candy some time ago. Well, I didn't win, but Jacqueline made some extra candies, and here's the fabulous stuff I recieved!
Jacqueline also sent me this fantastic card!!! Look at these fabulous colours and details!
Such a cute image, perfectly coloured :) And take a look at these gorgeous brads in the flowers as well. Thank you SO much, Jacqueline, I really enjoyed this surprise from you!!!
Puuuhhh...

I still can remember how exciting it was to get holiday mail when I was a child slash young. Unfortunately, text messages have replaced postcards, letters are mainly online, and the mail box content is not quite so exciting any more :/
The more pleasant it was to come home and find a lot of letters and packages - to me *wheeeee* I knew some of them would come, but the others were a total surprise. And I really can like surprises as this!
I can't remember last time I won anything, but lately I've had some winner luck that I find unbelievable :) Some time ago I won Heidi's blog candy, and recently I won the challenge #5 at A Spoon Full of Sugar - here's all the nice stuff Debbie sent for me:
Then I won Camilla's blog candy, with all this nice stuff, I can't wait to try this new stamp and all these goodies *jippiii ai ai*
The surprise from Camilla was that she had packed everything into this lovely gift bag! Look at it! It's fabulous! The way she has placed the cute image in the circle - I love it!
The other side is just as gorgeous, look at these lovely details! Camilla's personal stamp put into a tiny envelope, tied together through eyelets :) Even the envelope is decorated at the inside! I'm gonna use this idea, for sure!Another surprise was this summer greeting from Caroline :) The card is made of a toilet roll (the inner part of it, I don't know what it's called in English...) You can put a tag or a message in it, like Caroline had done :) And beside there was a bag of beautiful flowers and charms.
Another surprise - this one came from Heidi :) I have seen this card in her blog, but I wasn't expecting to recieve it! Therefore I got moved to tears, I found it so nice :) She had written such a nice greeting at the inside as well *sniff* Along with the card she sent me a bag of really lovely silver charms. They were so beautiful I'm not sure if I can afford to use them *haha*
Finally; I recieved this gorgeous card from Camilla in Sweden (I'm sure there's only one person in Sweden called Camilla *haha*) This card was a complete surprise, and it's so beautiful, I wasn't sure if I should touch it *hihi*
Close-up from the image, so you can enjoy this fantastic colouring :) Notice the little pearl flower at the hat and the stunning glitter details at the dress and the straws!!
At the inside of the card I found these lovely words...

... and even the adress tag was lovely decorated!!
Say no more ;)
